Dear GreenWood Families,

We hope you're enjoying a wonderful and safe Spring Break filled with fun and relaxation!

Today marks the final opportunity to order your Tree-Plenish saplings. If you haven't done so already, be sure to find the ordering link in the latest newsletter and make your contribution to our environment before it's too late.

April is brimming with excitement here at GreenWood, and we invite you to check out the newsletter for all the details on upcoming events and activities.

One event you won't want to miss is our Community Info Night, scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. It's an inclusive gathering where everyone - new families, those interested in joining, and our seasoned veteran families - is welcome. We can't wait to showcase the amazing things happening at GreenWood and share our enthusiasm with you all!

For those who know families considering enrollment, we want to remind you that GreenWood is still accepting applications. Plus, there's an exciting opportunity to participate in our referral drawing. Simply reply to this email with your name to enter, and we'll announce the lucky winner on Friday, April 5.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to making GreenWood Charter School the extraordinary community it is. Together, we're making a real difference!

Hello!

Welcome back Greenwood families!  It has been delightful to welcome your students back.  We are so excited for an amazing year.  I have enclosed our September newsletter (make sure you check it out for important dates and information), our September lunch menu and a flyer for a local family event.  We are not a part of the family event but it lines up with our mission and vision and I felt like some of you may want to know about it.  Have a great Labor Day weekend - enjoy time outside and time with your family!

This year our theme is "Cultivate Joy".  Let's work together to Cultivate Joy as we build a community that cares for one another (#Greenwoodcares) and watches out for each other.

Parent Suns,

Happy December!  The holidays are almost here and we have so many exciting things we are working on before that happens.  Watch for a reading challenge at the end of next week that will begin on December 11th.  I have attached a video on Dyad Reading that will show you a great way to read with your child.  It has been studied and proven to help students grow in their reading skills.  We are so excited about this challenge and hope you all choose to participate!

I have enclosed the newsletter for this month which includes a calendar for this month and a couple of dates in January.  Please put them on your calendar.  We will send the lunch menu out next week and along with more information on the reading challenge.

Have a great weekend!

Parent Suns,

I hope you are enjoying your summer so far!  Here is June's newsletter.  It has some great celebrations (we had an amazing year!) and some parent and academic resources.  Make sure you check it out!  We hope you have a fantastic summer!

Hello Greenwood families!

I have attached the March newsletter (sorry it was late - I was out of town at the beginning of the week).  It has all of the important dates and some good information in it.  Make sure you open it and reference it this month!  We do have a parent meeting tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.  We have had good parent turn out this year.  If you miss it you can always catch up by reading the minutes on the website.  I'm hoping to be able to get more feedback from parents at these meetings.  Please join us if you can!  If you can't make it tomorrow morning you can join us Monday evening at 6:30.  We would love to have all of our parents involved and more parent feedback!

I don't know if you have walked our halls lately but they are looking amazing!  A huge thank you goes out to Cheryl Hendricks and the High Quality Work crew!  They have made some amazing displays for our beautiful student work.  Your students are amazing!  Don't miss out on the Celebrations of Learning.  The kids have been working hard and they want to share it with you.

We will continue online Forest Crew through March and then hope to return to in person Forest Crew in April.  We hope to see at our parent meetings!  Thank you for all you do and for sharing your beautiful children with us!  We are so lucky to have amazing families at Greenwood.

March Newsletter - Menu - Parent Meeting - UG Spring Intensives

Hello Greenwood Families!

I can't believe it's February already!  I'm excited for Carry Kindness Week.  It's my favorite time of year because we have a huge focus on how we treat each other.  We have a fun week of "Mission Possible" planned where students will be serving each other and being kind to one another.  I also LOVE the positive notes that they share with each other on Valentine's Day.  This is one of my favorite traditions at Greenwood.  Crew is SO important and making sure that we all feel included and loved is a big part of crew.  I have attached the lunch menu, the newsletter and here is a link to the Reflection Contest entries.

Please note the Parent Meeting this Friday.  We would love to see you there!  We want to make sure you have a voice in what happens at Greenwood so we are going to change things up a bit.  See you Friday!

We appreciate our staff, our teachers and our students!  We have such great people at Greenwood.  Our award winners from last month:

Staff of the month: Jen Varney

Teacher of the month: KaSandra Hope

Students of the month: Naliyah Hunter, Ellie Regalato, Mikayli Hansen

Way to go! Thank you for being great examples!

Thanks to our families for all you do!  We appreciate our Greenwood families and love working with your kids.   Have a great month!
