Biography

I was born and raised in So Cal, school athlete/scholar through high school and college.  Took mostly science, but ended up with a degree in communications.  Began teaching at the age of 17, being a coach for the local junior high school wrestling team.  Have coached off and on ever since.  Began science teaching about 15 years ago working for the Orange Co Dept. of Ed, in a division known as Inside the Outdoors.  ITO, as the division is known, is an award winning outdoor education and science supplement for classroom teaching.  Working there, I conducted field trips teaching environmental science, ethno-botany, as well as historical and comparative sociology programs.  I also worked as a traveling scientist, bringing science experiments and animal presentations to schools.  We moved to Utah with the wife's job in aerospace with Parker Inc.  Personal interests include hiking/camping, off road adventure, 4x4 and adventure biking, radio control. I think that's about it.
